Why??
Edit:
No, it is still there, but it's been tucked away under "General Discussion", and the banner heading on the Forum main page has gone. Sweeping it under the carpet? Regrets? Or just some Admin bod "tidying up"? You decide!
My guess is they didn't like the media attention it was getting. I had hoped for a minute that it had gone and an apology was on the way. I'm still kind of hoping - until he responds again there's no way to tell if he's got all the facts yet, or what his reaction to them will be - but the longer it goes on the less hope I have.
It doesn't bother me too much though; after a bit more lurking around this place, I'm starting to feel at home here now.

[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

I will take a punt and guess that they've decided that they decided just to lose the notice ASAP, and are pondering what (if anything) to do next. That's the conservative guess. So I suppose we just have to sit and wait ...

I'm hoping this is a temporary measure that signals that at least some information has filtered through - and not just a case of someone wanting to lower media attention.
One still lives in hope.
Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

Chalkley's view on communication (it's posted on his blog), as demonstrated in the weeks and months when we tried to engage him and Josh on the supposed 'transition':

Shouldn't that read "This forum is blank?"

I popped back briefly to check just when it was that I joined as I couldn't remember - and was quite surprised at how many were there.
Maybe they were archiving their posts? (I didn't have any worth saving...

the goldisch rule:
don't do, of which you don't want to be accused of doing.
when you chop off your neighbours head and use it as a vase, you can call it 'culture'.
it's called civilisation is when this gets you jailed for the rest of your live.

That is a good spot, in fact if you click on "Richard Dawkins" it links you to "Admin's" user profile.

I don't think it means much.
RD is an ordinary user, he'd have been locked out just like anyone else. So he presumably just sent it by PM or e-mail to one of the admins, who posted it for him.
No conspiracy there, move along.

So that's what a cunt's minion looks like. Looks like a twat.

Anyone else notice the similarity?

I highlighted this yesterday. It just means that either the transfer of post/thread ownership wasn't done properly, or the software has a bug or two.
