The only time I've ever seen a Hummer in my town, the fattest family in the world were getting out of it to go to McDonald's. I'm convinced they would've used the drive through if it would've fit.

You know the funny thing? I've never seen a Hummer of the pavement. I don't even mean out doing 4x4 off-road stuff, I mean I've never even seen one on a gravel road.

Well, of course I'm generalizing... but I don't know you that well to make a clear judgement.noncredo wrote:I used to have a Hummer, and I wasn't an asshole....very often. Whether or not you're a complete asshole, your former ownership of a Hummer wasn't exactly responsible.

If you drive a Hummer and are a vegan your effect on climate change is less than driving a Prius and being a carnivore.Mac_Guffin wrote:I'm so fucking happy about this. I have never met one Hummer owner that isn't an asshole.

That's because (again, referring to H2 and H3) they are junk off-road. The H1 was quite capable.
Re: Sorry if you work for them...
There are worse things than poor fuel economy. My Hummer was well maintained and didn't spew smoke everywhere. The last guy who hassled me about driving a gas guzzler drove a car that put out a substantial smokescreen behind it when he pulled away from the light. I would say his car had a bigger negative impact on the environment than my Hummer.Mac_Guffin wrote:Well, of course I'm generalizing... but I don't know you that well to make a clear judgement.noncredo wrote:I used to have a Hummer, and I wasn't an asshole....very often. You could drive 25 hummers year round and your CO2 would still be less then if you had one child.maiforpeace wrote:If you drive a Hummer and are a vegan your effect on climate change is less than driving a Prius and being a carnivore.Mac_Guffin wrote:I'm so fucking happy about this.
