Greetings from The Reason Project
Hello. I am one of the few resident Christians on Sam Harris' "The Reason Project." I also rarely posted on the Richard Dawkins Forum. When the powers that be shut that forum down, some of the members came to Sam Harris. Some of them mentioned rationalia, so I decided to check it out. I'll lurk around for awhile and see if I can find some thread where I can contribute something constructive. I'm from Texas. That should be enough information for you to form your prejudices. Later, y'all.

Hi Bruce, welcome to Ratz

It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

I'm less interested in forming prejudices about you than I am in learning why, and upon what evidence, you decide to believe in Christianity.

Hi Bruce welcome to the forum!
Yes, I suppose I have some prejudices about Texas. Texans are darn friendly, and some can dance a mean two step!

Atheists have always argued that this world is all that we have, and that our duty is to one another to make the very most and best of it. ~Christopher Hitchens~

oh, hai

"Another aspect of the particulateness of the gene is that is does not grow senile; it is no more likely to die when it is a million years old than when it is only a hundred. It leaps from body to body in it's own way and for its own ends, abandoning a succession of mortal bodies before they sink in senility and death" -Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene p.34

I plan on transporting my 4700 posts from Sam Harris over here en masse. They explain everything. Enjoy.SpokesGay wrote:Bruce Burleson wrote: I'm from Texas. That should be enough information for you to form your prejudices. Later, y'all.

OMG. You expect us to assimilate all that? I'm all for the pursuit of perfection and all, but I don't think my cortical node can process that quantity.

Hi Bruce - and welcome!!

Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.
