Valden makes the best avatars! I'm a great fan of her work, even when she confused me by changing her name!

I just wanted to add my thanks to all of Ratz, mods and members. You have no idea (or maybe you do) how you've helped to ease the trauma of a large number of very shell-shocked people.

:td:
Aww :qoti:

I just realized your 40 years older then me.
You could be one of my parents! :o

I would just like to formally thank everyone here at Ratz for your wonderful help you have given us survivors over the last few days, you guys are truly awesome and quite frankly it has given me such wonderful encouragement for the future that with the demise of RDF, life geos on.

As long as we have many of our old friends and now all our awesome new ones, I'm actually feeling a lot happier with the situation. That is 100% down to you wonderful guys (and gorgeous gals :naughty: ) here, you have given us all hope and refuge when the proverbial hit the fan, and thats something that people don't forget lightly.

I am so happy that a place like this exists that is so welcoming, understanding and rather fun to be around, to make all our troubles seem a whole lot less troublesome. I hope any imposition we may cause is not too much of a hassle for you and I hope we can contribute to this wonderful site with some fresh blood, ideas, characters and most importantly, some sexy fiscal endorsements (for services rendered, or yet to be rendered! :razzle: ).

PS YOU GUYS ROCK!.... LETS CHEESE!!!!

I noticed quite a number of 'ordinary' rank and file being pretty welcoming too.

There's nothing "ordinary" about any of ya'll, Rum. You've opened your doors to all of us hungry, tired huddled refugees, and we appreciate it more than we can express. It's silly to get so emotional about a stupid web forum, but for some of us it was a major part of our lives. I, for one, am brushing the dust of RDF off my ass and settling in to be just another "ordinary" Rat.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Thanks, Virphen. It is too early to say if the experience has been good or bad - but it is certainly more work than I have had to do for at least 18 months!! :hehe:

Cheers.
You should lock it for real just to fuck with him.
..and delete him, just for laughs :hehe:
You have been warned cause I have nothing better to do. ;)
Hey Pluto2 - thanks SO much for warning irreligionist. She totally had it coming and I'm glad that there are mods here who have the balls to make these sorts of decisions. While you're at it do you think it might be a good idea to warn all the former mods from RD.net. You know, just to let them know who's boss and make sure they stay in line? :shiver:

That would make you a gastronome then. A gastronome is both a gourmet and a glutton. :td:

I would like to add thanks for the hospitality to the Ratz mods, admins, and regulars.

Such a large influx of people so quickly changes a place like this, and I hope it wasn't too disruptive.

I've seen forums that are just waiting for things to happen on others and are more than glad to add the members and traffic, and some that don't. I'm not sure where Ratz falls, but I understand it was started as an alternate to another forum anyway, so this is like round 2?

It's your job to be nice and encouraging to the younger generation. You're supposed to be venerable. I'm actually disappointed.
