Julie,

you cannot seriously believe that Josh is now deleting Richard's posts without his knowledge ? Richard pays his wages.....

Lol

Can just imagine Richard posting "Noooooooo! Stop this madness!!" and Josh going "too late! I am in charge now! *delete*"
In the begining there was nothing. Which then exploded.

RD's on-line now.
Indeed, and it looks like some of his posts have been deleted too. It says he's made 436 posts... unless I'm remembering incorrectly, the last time I saw his profile it said 440 something. So looks like he's getting the short end of the stick, too.

Julie
What happens to reactions that were posted in threads by deleted members? They would disappear too, right?

It could be due to a re-synching of the post count, although why they would need to do that at this juncture is not clear. Maybe it's an incidental thing.

It's just taken me about two minutes to log in there, so slow is the forum. I assume RD is viewing his PMs, but then again what else could he be doing?

EDIT: I tried to view the "who is online" list to confirm this, but was told that I needed to be registered and logged in. Odd. :coffee:

just look at the forum front page, doesn't matter if you are logged in or not, at the bottom is a member list

I can't seem to get through to the RDF forums now to check if Richard answered my PM.

Has the whole thing been taken down, or is it just me ?

I have the lovely Spinning Circle of Doom, as I like to call it. A couple of minutes ago I got a time-out.

Yes, but if you're logged in, that heading becomes a link, and clicking it gives you more information on what people are doing.

Very, very, very slow for me. See my posts above about me being apparently logged out. Just trying to log in again now ... :levi:

EDIT:

Code: Select all

The connection has timed out

The server at forum.richarddawkins.net is taking too long to respond.

How bizarre. That's not what it does for me at all, either logged in or not.

I dunno what to say, Durro. Must have been horrible for you, and all those mods who had put so much effort and time into the tough job of modding such a large busy forum.
