*tacklehugs*

Ok well I usually don't just tacklehug everyone in an introduction thread but as I feel that I know a lot of you from RDF ... even if you don't really know me cuz like I don't post a ton.

So me? Well I'm a Canadian Atheist, currently residing in Vancouver. I'm also a new mom so trying to keep up with my two month old son ... well two months in two days. Living in Vancouver I never realized how important it was to stand up and say "I'm an atheist" mostly because the climate here is pretty friendly to anyone, including us crazy godless heathens. But I began to realize that wasn't so the world over when I ran into others on the internet who were somewhat shocked that I would just admit such a crime ;)

Being a somewhat rational person I then started googling such things, learned more about RD, watched YouTube and read everything I could and came to the conclusion that not only was it important to stand up and proclaim my non religious proclivities but to also dispel some of the more idiotic and fictional views of the world.

RDF helped me argue with creationists and young earth creationists alike. Heck it taught me the difference between the two, who knew that some people out there actually thought the earth was that young ... idiotic.

So I've landed here, hope thats ok ... :pardon:

PS loooooove the smilies

Yes, we have lots of smilies ... lots and lots and lots of smilies. :panic:

Mind if I include myself in the tacklehug? I'm normal, so it's nothing to worry about!

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Hi Samantha, welcome! :flowers:

Good for you and your activism for atheism. I look forward to your posts.
Atheists have always argued that this world is all that we have, and that our duty is to one another to make the very most and best of it. ~Christopher Hitchens~
