Hi from Canada

Post by Skinny Puppy » Tue Feb 23, 2010 2:22 pm

I’m another (in hopefully a long line) of refugees from that place of evil. Thanks Richard, I appreciate what you did for me, but my butt is still sore. :o

I’m suffering from shell shock after yesterday’s fiasco. Thankfully I was told about this place and now I have a new home.

As far as an intro goes, many will know me from that other place, for those that don’t…

I’m an ex-Xtian that suffered from 20 years of brutal and non-stop indoctrination into the Pentecostal religion, well cult. It took me the better part of the past 6 years to finally break free from that and now I can proudly say that I am 100% atheist.

I have a rather silly nature, :hilarious: so expect to see and read some silly (and occasionally serious) posts from me. But to be honest, that’s me and I wouldn’t want to change my attitude towards life. After 20 years of towing the party (Pentecostal) line, I need humour since I was denied that for most of my life.

Now I’m back to square one as far as posts go, sq1 as far as learning my way around here, but not sq1 as far as friends go. I see many recognizable faces here, so I’m feeling a wee bit at home already.

Hi, Larry. By all means, unleash your humor on us without restraint! Looking forward to it. We don't keep people on leashes over here, so to speak. :td:
