Hullo! Newbie saying hi :)

Post by Jerome23 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 3:06 am

HI there. Following the collapse of RD.net tonight (****!) I remebered that last year Seraph invited me to come over here. I had meant to and meant to, and i think I registered before , as Jerome, but my email has changed so I have become Jerome23 (a shame - I liked being Jerome).

I'm Jerome, and ok - I admit it - I'm not an atheist. I'm a boring old theist, here to convert you Godless heathens by droning on interminably and by making endless baseless assertions. Should be fun! :funny:

I posted on RD.net for number of years, and have always been far more comfortable around atheists than my co-religionists - perhaps because a lot of atheists can actually think. I have not looked round the forum yet to see if anyone i know is here, but I doubt anyone will recall me, unless i had a huge row with you over on el Dawko's place. (I'm pissed off about the demise of that forum btw - especially the spineless c**ts who were responsible for the ridiculous way it ended - rant on my blog here - http://jerome23.wordpress.com/2010/02/2 ... -to-close/

Anyway nice to meet you all: I'm not in the mood tonight for bible thumping, so I promise to behave and be a thoroughly tedious old tosser, exactly as i always have been - but I'm really glad to find another forum, and I hope you won't kick me out for my beliefs! I'm not very interesting: I have three cats, a wife and a girlfriend, like in the UK, like arguing and have a good knowledge of parapsychology and a passable knowledge of first century history and Bib Crit.) I enjoy games of any kind (with or without riding crops) and I love writing about and arguing about science, scepticism and the "supernatural". I'm often wrong though, and don't really know a lot about anything, but this is the interweb so that does not matter too much :)

Hope you will have me, and if anyone knows me from the old place do say hi! Night all - oh and I should set my sig to "I am an Anglican: prejudice declared" I'll do it tomorrow.

Indeed, just make sure you have your rabies shot before you get into it with anyone.

Welcome Jerome, hope you enjoy yourself here! :flowers:

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome! :oj: I should have made it over before - I got my invite at a time whn i had pretty much stopped posting on forums, so it has taken me ages and took the RD net fiasco as the kick up the arse I needed to come over. :)

Hey Jerome! Course we all remember you (well, I do.) Welcome to Ratz. We don't have much cheese left cos it's been busy tonight - but I'm sure your off it for lent in any case. About time we had a real theist here - and such a thoroughly decent one at that!
