Weird blob in space is not Camilla!

While it makes me recoil inwardly to post videos from Fox News, that was where I found this image.

Just wondering what it could be! There are certainly brand new things of high strangeness waiting to be seen in deep space. As little as we know about the universe, that much would seem to be guaranteed. I've always wondered about the effects on the human race if some dramatic unexplained display were ever to appear in the skies, visible to the naked eye, that is. Even comets and eclipses freak people out. How about something unprecedented?

This is only a UFO in the technical sense that it's flying through space and we don't know what it is. No reason to suppose that it's an occupied ship, from the realms of Flying Saucer Land, although that's what the Fox News chowder-head immediately implies. Nothing like tabloid television.

Whatever it was it's gone now, so more than likely we will never know. That's kind of a cool feeling. It's a genuine scientific mystery!
