Actually, the main armament is all forward. The secondary armament is towards the back. This was all the rage in France in the 1930's. Here's the (slightly) earlier and smaller

Rodney and
Nelson almost got this right, but they couldn't fire the number 3 turret directly forward.
Rodney was one of the ships that helped dispatch the
