One small nitpick.

The Viggen doesn't hold a candle in terms of noise against a Eurofighter Typhoon. By far the noisiest buggers on an airshow.

Heard it and seen it. I thought the Tornado F.3 was loud (and the F-14 Tomcat), but the Typhoon is noisier still. And also incredibly manoeuvrable.

[1] I've seen the B-1B Lancer at Mildenhall. Impressive when you realise that this is a bomber aircraft that carries 20 tons of bombs, yet the pilot can throw it around the sky like a fighter jet. The party pieces at Mildenhall included a 45° semi-ballistic climb from takeoff, a supersonic fly-past at 300 feet over the crowd, and some angle-of-attack gymnastics that take serious skill in an aircraft that's as long as three articulated lorries. Oh, and four afterburners are seriously impressive when you hear them close up.
A B-1B once flew right over my house. But then our local air show (currently on hiatus) really is local for me. I just have to walk out the door and down the road ... :coffee:

Freud would probably have had an opinion about that. :coffee:

The Yak 3, which re-entered production in the 1990's to cater for the "war bird" market:

The guy on the balcony looks nonplussed. Maybe it hasn't registered with him yet. I'd like to see another shot taken 1-2 seconds afterwards.

Or maybe this is an everyday occurrence wherever this is. :what:
