Championship Manager 2000/01

Without a shadow of a doubt the most addictive substance in the universe.

I had to burn the CD to get away from it - even though I had reordered it before I burnt it I cried like a baby in the foetal position, but my plan worked. When the reorder came two days later I had broken the addiction and I burnt it as well.

If I ever played it again you would never hear from me again - ever.

So, you've never played Alpha Centauri then, I take it? :levi:

I've just ordered that from Amazon. Had it years ago, lost it and now need something incredibly geeky to fill in the long winter evenings.

I recall playing a much earlier version, probably '93 and it sucked up inordinate amounts of my time so I never bought another one.

I think I still have a copy of Alpha Centauri somewhere, must try and root it out, it was the first of those strategy games I ever played, great fun.
At least I'm housebroken.

Alpha Centauri has arrived, despite the postal strikes. Bugger me, it's a bit complicated (and slightlytwitchy under Vista).

Good old nostalgic turn-based-space-gaming.
