If you don't know much about the Battle of Coronel or the subsequent Battle of the Falkland Islands, then you're in for some good reading.

Admiral Sturdee: "German ships on the horizon? Then send the men to breakfast ...". Nelson would have approved. :coffee:

Guaranteed to make sure some of the troops crap themselves during the battle. I love the logic.

Speaking which, anybody ever read C. S. Forester's The Ship? British CLs against Italian CAs and BBs. Fair fight.

Just finished "Civil War: The Wars of the Three Kindgoms, 1638-1660" by Trevor Royle. A monumental tome but a right riveting read. It's all in there, Charles I, Cromwell, the Levellers, the Diggers, the Fifth Monarchists, Cromwell, the Restoration and the Glorious Revolution etc etc etc. Fine single volume work on the English Civil War. Recommended.
