Iraqi Man in Arizona Runs Over Daughter and Friend Because They Were "Too Westernized"
Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, an Iraqi living in Peoria, Arizona, about 13 miles from Phoenix, struck his daughter, Noor Faleh Almaleki, 20, and her roommate, Amal Edan Khalaf with his Jeep Cherokee in a Peoria parking lot.
Almaleki was upset at his daughter "as she had become too 'Westernized' and was not living according to [the family's] traditional Iraq values," Peoria police said. Almaleki is still at large.
Noor Faleh Almaleki and her friend are still in hospital, Almaleki is in with life threatening injuries, Khalaf's injuries are not life threatening.
