I printed a copy of your avatar and pinned it on my sweater and I've never been healthier. No one will even come near me.

Most of the responses show concern for whether you will get infected and survive, so I'm guessing you are pretty certain you won't have contact with the public, therefore you won't be infecting others, particularly children and teens?

When it comes to parents making a conscious decision not to vaccinate their child. I see no difference between not giving a child the vaccine, to say not giving them blood transfusions when needed or medicine to treat diabetes. (citing those cases where parents withheld medical treatment in favor of prayer)

What makes it so easy for people to question and/or refuse to take the vaccine is that there is no smoking gun that will point to them when, because they chose not to take the vaccine, they infected someone who ends up dying from it. In this case, I feel my concerns over the long term safety of taking this vaccine to my own health is trumped by concern for the lives of others.
Do you mean the H1N1 jab, or vaccinations in general? I have two small kids, and they are fully vaccinated. I have very strong views on vaccination and tend not to hold back when I hear the ignorant bullshit 'reasons' for not vaccinating.

Re the H1N1, well it's available in Australia now, but is not suitable for children under the age of 10. If I could get my kids vaccinated I would, but I personally am not rushing out to get the jab.

I don't think I'd give much thought about vaccination. I almost never get ill and whenever I do I tend to destroy it in many ways. I'm very fit and heathly and with no medical problems and so not really concerned.
(You are talking about the H1N1?)
