Fallen Earth. FPS/MMORPG Hybrid. Looks ok, don't think it's last, graphics are dated. But it look like it has a few plus points.

Somewhat started replaying Shadow of the Colossus. Also enjoyed the Uncharted 2 demo a lot.

I've been playing Shadow of the Colossus too, I'm now further through it than I got the first time and loving it so much more this time. I'm on the 11th or 12th one now. I can't wait for Last Guardian, I'll need to get Ico soon or I'll pull my hair out.

Also been playing Uncharted 1 trying to get the platinum on it before the second one is released. Great game.

FF6... catching up on some old school classics!

Except that I just realised the save points in FF6 don't save automatically. For some reason, faint memories tell me that's what happened in FF10 anyway... :shifty: So I just wasted 2.5h of gameplay. Even worse, I feel like a fucking n00b. :pissed: :banghead: :lay:

They've always been manual save based games, even FFX. VI is a good one, not many games where you fail to stop the bad guy before he destroys the world. Was weird having to continue the story after the Gias had destryed everything.

Have you played any of FFXII? Took a while to get used to the battle system but was really good once the plot picked up.

Finished twelve once, and am playing it "properly" this time. I had level 3 quickenings by the time I reached Ifrit.
Getting the ultimate weapon is a real bitch. Had to use the internets to figure out which chests not to open, and the first run fucked me over with the whole Giza plains 'rainy season'... missed out on couple of important things there.
But, that said, the longer you play the easier it gets, and reading the walkthroughs for the ultimate boss in the game... an eight hour battle man.

I've never been bothered trying to get everything in an FF game, I'd rather just play it however I like and finish the story. Though I did play FFVII until I managed to get Knights of the Round which was quite a lot of effort back then without the internet.

Neither have I, but considering I managed to beat the final boss with average level weapons without any problems at all, I figured I give myself more of a challenge.

The most challenging part of the game is when you fight one boss, right after you leave the room there's a trap which can take out your whole party. The boss itself is easy.

Can't remember where I am in the game, pretty sure I stopped playing the main story in order to do loads of the hunts, possibly just fought Gilgamesh???

You haven't gotten Ico yet? Good god, man, what are you waiting for?! I loved SotC, but I thought Ico was a better game. Just got some work done on my Ico/Yorda tattoo, by the way. My tattooist better not fuck it up. I'm already disappointed in it. I wanted the characters to look exactly as the look in the game, y'know? But he did more of an interpretation of them :? Trying to remain optimistic. He's only just started. But this is a large back piece, and if I end up not liking it after it's done, and spending quite a bit of money on it as well, I'm gonna be kinda pissed.

Oh well. Anyway, I'll need to get a PS3 again once Last Guardian comes out. Uncharted never interested me. Although the gameplay is supposed to be great, the main character looks very bland. I don't want to look at a boring character that I don't give a shit about for fifty hours or whatever. I can't get drawn in and involved in the game.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Most games are shit boring these days because 'immersive worlds' don't get so immersive when it takes half an hour to get anywhere.
Others are too simple.
Others are far too short.
Most rely on cheap gimmicks, like "cover-fire" or a token upgrade system.
