The MOBO awards

Post by Lozzer » Sat Oct 03, 2009 12:27 pm

I know this is something usually brought up by nationalists, but does anyone else get really infuriated by things such as the MOBO awards? I know such events aren't exclusively for black people, but isn't it just a tiny winy bit silly to have an event to award and promote people who have black-skin pigmentation who can sing?
Had I been a racist, I would have asked 'where's the MOWO awards?' but I find the whole idea of such things fucking ridiculous.

I also find the thing patronising, why should we hold ceremonies to celebrate the fact that a black person has achieved something?

For the same reason we have the Special Olympics :hehe:

Nah. I'm only messing but, I do find it patronising myself. Fuck it though. I wouldn't let it get to me.
Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.

I agree.

I also don't like it when TV presenters say "Give it up for...".
