If you read three evolution books in a row, Ken Ham will come out of a mirror and ravish you. Something like that.

Eye In the Sky by Philip K Dick :-)
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

I'm reading The Portable Atheist, with introduction by Christopher Hitchens. Surprisingly interesting, and with some good poetry.
"Her eye was on the sparrow. Her mind was on the dove,
But no one cared and no one dared to speak to her of love.
Her eyes are always hooded. Her claws are sharp as steel.
We teach her not to see too much. We teach her not to feel."

I particularly liked seeing such deep thought about matters atheistic going back so far.

Did you ever read St. Anselm's original propounding of the ontological argument? He set forth the arguments for atheism (which, where did he get them?) brilliantly, then offered a bunch of word salad to oppose them. I think Anselm was a closet atheist.

It seemed to me reading The Portable Atheist that many of the older time thinkers were much the same. Put forth the strong arguments for the atheist side, and then demonstrate the emptiness of the opposition whilst pretending to be part of it. A fifth column...
