The thoughts of a dying president like Trump are hard to imagine. I think he hates us pretty much all of us, except the 30 million MAGA folk. The base.
"The most revealing element of next week’s election is that President Donald Trump is all but ensuring defeat for Republicans, and his party is doing next to nothing about it."

"There are his explicit actions: The DOGE layoffs and government shutdown reductions-in-force hit federal worker-heavy Virginia hard, and then he “terminated” funding for the Gateway Tunnel construction between New Jersey and New York. Both handed ad scripts that write themselves to the Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls."
"Yet the more fundamental challenge Trump presents is that his expectation of unwavering fealty denies blue-state Republicans the opening they need to establish independence that’s crucial to success in states where he’s unpopular. Particularly in governor’s races, and particularly when your party is in the White House, Republicans running in blue states and Democrats competing in red states must take steps to appeal to independents and voters in the other party by separating themselves from the national brand, at least symbolically.
"Nonetheless, Virginia’s Winsome Earle-Sears and New Jersey’s Jack Ciattarelli have embraced Trump in states he’s never won in three consecutive presidential elections."

"The idea that a candidate could criticize Trump and not face blowback is unthinkable. He’s not the sort who’d respond well to an aspiring governor privately telling him: “You know, Mr. President, I may have to ding you a little bit to get through this race. You won’t mind, will ya?”

Tero, you're so desperate for him to be dying. I get it. But you've got to stop believing every random social media post.

Can someone attempt to explain, without name calling, without deflecting, without avoiding the question, why so many adults have copitulated to and pledged unyielding fidelity to Donald Trump?
I can’t wait for the studies that will come out of this one day. We are too caught in the fog to really see it, but it was a systematic grooming that we underwent as a country. He started by telling us that everyone was lying to us and that he would tell us the truth. He told us that we couldn’t trust anyone. He used adds on Facebook which really spoke to Boomers and Millineals, then when he got people hooked, he lied out of his ass. He lied up down and sideways, but always did it with (1/2)
(2/2) confidence, and now a lot of people only trust him. It’s fascinating really. He played to an older white community who had been feeling disenfranchised by Obama because of their inherent racism, and he made it socially acceptable to be racist. He has been convincing people that he will be bringing archaic jobs back all while shrinking the number of jobs. He only serves the top 1% and everyone wants to think they could be that so he plays with people’s identity. It’s a cult, and fascinating

It's power. Why does everyone swear "collectivist cultures" care about the whole rather than the individual, despite the fact that in either only a few enjoy most of the benefits of everyone's labor? --just ask women  It's power, and we all act stupid around it, guess it's in our dna.

Poor opposition, they didn't so much vote for Trump as not vote for Biden. Like Starmer here, a consequence of a protest vote. Not sure power comes into it. If anything the extreme policies Trump is engaged in betrays a lack of power or legitimacy. A need to gain attention at any cost, a display of infantile lever pulling for narcistic attention not a plan. Surprised the economy hasn't stalled and crashed yet.
See the endless dead rise, see them rise, it is their final day and they know nothing of it.

Don’t be naive. A narcissistic manbaby with all the power is textbook.

American president extorts the 60% that do not approve of him plus tens of millions that voted for him.

Trump tweets
Pass Voter Reform, Voter ID, No Mail-In Ballots. Save our Supreme Court from “Packing,” No Two State addition, etc. TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!!!
Tomorrow’s United States Supreme Court case is, literally, LIFE OR DEATH for our Country. With a Victory, we have tremendous, but fair, Financial and National Security. Without it, we are virtually defenseless against other Countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us. Our Stock Market is consistently hitting Record Highs, and our Country has never been more respected than it is right now. A big part of this is the Economic Security created by Tariffs, and the Deals that we have negotiated because of them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
