The glorious project of Making America Healthy Again will not be hindered by medicine or science.
The Trump administration will move to pull the COVID vaccine off the U.S. market “within months,” one of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s closest associates has told the Daily Beast.

Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist who has repeatedly claimed in the face of scientific consensus that the vaccines are more dangerous than the virus, told the Daily Beast that Kennedy’s stance is shared by “influential” members of President Donald Trump’s family. Like Kennedy himself, no Trumps hold any scientific qualifications.

Malhotra is a leading adviser to the controversial lobby group Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Action, which is seen as an external arm of Kennedy’s agenda as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary.

He told the Beast that many of those closest to RFK Jr. have told him they “cannot understand” why the vaccine continues to be prescribed, and that a decision to remove the vaccine from the U.S. market pending further research will come “within months,” even if it is likely to cause “fear of chaos” and bring with it major legal ramifications.

I wonder how my current bout of COVID would be playing out without accepting the offer of a vaccine every year since 2021?
Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.
Details on how to do that can be found here.

Only God knows.

I had my last shot in October 2024 and had my first ever infection at the end of December. It was one of the mildest colds I ever experienced. Just two days of tiredness and a couple of days of runny nose. And two days of taste and smell gone. Not even a proper cough. Appointment for next shot is already scheduled for this October.

This could be another hydroxychloroquine/ivermectin, or it could be a useful prophylactic. I'll wait for further studies.

'Over-The-Counter Nasal Spray Cuts COVID Cases by Two-Thirds in Trial'
We may have a new way of protecting against COVID-19 that checks almost all the boxes: It's effective, it's affordable, it's easy to apply, it's already approved as safe for public use, it's available without prescription… and it's called azelastine.

This nasal spray has been available over the counter for decades now, under a variety of brand names, in over 70 countries. It's used to treat several allergies, including hay fever, and a new trial into its effectiveness at preventing COVID-19 was launched after promising results in lab tests and people with a SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The eight-week trial was led by a team from Saarland University in Germany. The researchers divided 450 participants into two groups: one group used an azelastine nasal spray three times a day, while the other group followed the same routine with a placebo spray.

"During the observation period, 2.2 percent of the participants in the azelastine group became infected with SARS-CoV-2," says pneumologist Robert Bals of Saarland University. "In the placebo group, it was 6.7 percent – three times as many."

More positive data from the trial: the azelastine group also showed fewer symptomatic infections (that's confirmed COVID-19 cases also accompanied by symptoms such as a cough), a lower number of respiratory infections in general, and fewer cases of rhinovirus (a common cold virus).

Heh, I take that. Only once a day, though. When I remember.

You could just walk around with a saline nasal spray. Every time someone coughs or when you talk to someone such as a cashier, spray the saline and sneeze the covid out immediately.
