You can bet that if Cnut weren't on a lengthy suspension we'd have heard about this already. It's all the rage in the right wing-nutosphere at the moment. Democratic US Senator Cory Booker made a gesture that was similar to the infamous one performed by Musk. MAGA is certain (at least performatively) that it was a Nazi salute.

Some observers will note that it is distinctly different--with fingers spread, while Musk's 'my heart goes out to you' had the fingers held tightly together as they were thrust forward, exactly like the Nazis. Moreover, Booker has made a similar gesture before (second GIF below, from 2020). In addition, unlike Musk, Booker has not been a vocal supporter of far right political parties like AfD.

Again referring back to Cnut's bloviating, this time about 'endless examples of left-wing violence.'

A man posing as a police officer shot and killed a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband in a brazen attack at their home early Saturday, and a second lawmaker and his wife were wounded in a separate shooting in what Gov. Tim Walz described as “targeted political violence.”

Police were searching for the gunman responsible for the attacks on the Democratic legislators. Writings found inside a fake police car recovered at one of the shooting scenes mentioned the names of multiple lawmakers and other officials, Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley said.

The right-o-sphere will disavow the shooter, probably as a loon, before going on to say that they're not surprised it happened given how hateful the Dems are and the terrible things they're doing to the country etc etc.

US Senator from Utah Mike Lee (who still posts on Twitter/X as 'Based Mike Lee' of course) has claimed that the shooter is a Marxist. That's the natural assumption, violence being predominantly a tactic of the left.

The billionaire doofus Nazi-saluting troll Musk is promoting similar bullshit.

Republican Senator Mike Lee faced ridicule for calling the suspect of fatal shootings in Minnesota a “Marxist.”

“This is what happens ... When Marxists don’t get their way,” the Utah senator captioned a photo of alleged gunman Vance Boelter wearing a latex face mask.

Other MAGA figures, including Elon Musk, have also portrayed Boelter as a violent leftist.

Boelter allegedly killed Democratic state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband and allegedly shot and wounded state Senator John Hoffman and his wife on Saturday. Police later found a target list featuring the names of dozens of Democrats and abortion providers. Boelter is still at large.

Lee was roundly criticized on X for sharing the posts, with many commentators noting that the evidence contradicts his claims.

New York City Democratic voters rejected the slimeball Cuomo in favor of an apparently genuinely leftist Democrat Zohran Mamdani for mayor. He's also Muslim, so pretty much a perfect nightmare candidate for MAGA.

Given the Republicans are running a slimeball loser of their own against Mamdani, he has a decent chance of be the next mayor of New York. However Cuomo is considering continuing his run as an independent candidate while the current mayor (nominally Democratic) is definitely running as an independent--they'll siphon some votes away from Mamdani.

Mamdani proposed funding those and other priorities with a higher tax rate on corporations and city residents earning more than $1 million per year—fueling the backlash his campaign faced from the ultra-wealthy.
