The idea that Islam is overtaking or swamping Christianity in the UK is pure nonsense. Hadn't you heard, they're all falling to atheism these days. There's nothing by way of a political religious divide in the UK, unlike the US of course, where God always votes Republican. If you think UK Muslims have some special rights or protections try leaving a pig's head on the steps of a synagogue and a mosque and see what happens (you'd be roundly condemned by most and prosecuted for both).

The court has been busy:
April 7 court ALLOWS use of alien enemies act, even though there is no war with Venezuela
Critically, the court made clear in its unsigned order that officials must give migrants subject to Trump’s proclamation adequate notice that they are being removed pursuant to the wartime authority so they have “reasonable time” to bring habeas complaints. Those are suits brought by people who claim they are being detained by the government unlawfully.

A key concern among attorneys representing the migrants has been that the government’s rush to remove migrants under the act leaves them with little to no time to file such legal claims.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the court’s most senior liberal, argued the Trump administration’s conduct in the case “poses an extraordinary threat to the rule of law.”

The Supreme Court early Saturday morning paused the deportation of immigrants potentially subject to the Alien Enemies Act, freezing action in a fast-developing case involving a group of immigrants in Texas who say the Trump administration was working to remove them.

The court’s brief order drew dissents from conservative Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas.

Attorneys for the Venezuelans at issue in the case filed an emergency appeal at the high court on Friday, claiming they were at immediate risk of being removed from the country and had not been provided sufficient notice to challenge their deportation.

The court’s brief order on Saturday did not explain the court’s reasoning. The court ordered the Trump administration to respond to the emergency appeal once a federal appeals court in Louisiana takes action in the case.

In the meantime, the court said, “The government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this court.”

Previously, a federal judge in Washington, DC, told lawyers for the migrants in Texas who believed the Trump administration is about to swiftly deport them under the Alien Enemies Act that he did not have the power to pause the deportations, even though he was concerned about the administration’s actions.

Well (without googling) it sounded like her case against Trump had paused an uncharacteristically long time. Also that she was being investigated for fudging around with her properties, claiming an out-of-state residence was her primary residence, which can't be lawful because of her residence in the state she works for.

So tax weaving and bobbing, just like she wanted to prosecute Trump for. At least I think hers was the one where they hilariously under-valued Mar-a-lago and tried to say he lied about its value to get a loan. But the lender was very happy with the entire transaction (the loan has been repaid)

Anyway, maybe she's on the up-and-up, but some of the cases against him were certainly law-fare, rather than legitimate.

If she's the one who ran on a campaign of 'get Trump', then this could look even more motivated by politics, rather than by justice.
