It's true. Dying isn't masculine. It's feminine.

well, let's see how it works in a country that works like that, and see what the mighty look and feel like when they no longer have enough serfs to cater to their needs ...

Re: All Things Canada Eh
But the pandemic was a massive comparative study in the responses to the contagion. Which is to say, we don't have to wait to see how things will turn out - we've already seen it. Like we all saw people dying in the car park of Northern Italian hospitals before the Italian general quarantine was brought in, and the people later dying in the streets in urban India. We have reliable figures on countries that locked-down early or strictly to compare to those that locked-down late or losely, or not at all. Even in the UK we have reliable figures on the significant higher proportion of deaths among key and essential workers during the lockdown than among the general public - the nurses and doctors, the bus drivers, the care home staff, the refuse collectors etc.
The problem is that many people who survived infection or dodged it completely want to think that they were always destined to survive, and those that didn't survive were always destined to die - therefore lockdown was not only a waste of time that made no practical difference, it was an imposition on their right to do whatever they wanted even if it meant they'd be acting as vector to spread the contagion more widely.

The lockdowns hurt a lot of people too,
https://www.gse.harvard.edu/ideas/news/ ... ommunities
That’s assuming of course that only their academic learning was hurt…“Children have resumed learning, but largely at the same pace as before the pandemic. There’s no hurrying up teaching fractions or the Pythagorean theorem,” said CEPR faculty director Thomas Kane. “The hardest hit communities — like Richmond, Virginia, St. Louis, Missouri, and New Haven, Connecticut, where students fell behind by more than 1.5 years in math — have to teach 150 percent of a typical year’s worth of material for three years in a row — just to catch up. That is simply not going to happen without a major increase in instructional time. Any district that lost more than a year of learning should be required to revisit their recovery plans and add instructional time — summer school, extended school year, tutoring, etc. — so that students are made whole. ”

Indeed. Academic achievement and personal development of children were severely impacted by the pandemic. But children don't vote so, you know, so what?

Re: All Things Canada Eh
After governments, and their social media partners, legacy media partners, and other willing parties peddled lies about it (origins of the virus, transmissability, efficacy of masks, horse dewormer etc.) it sort of damaged the trust they might have had about other things.
It's those lies that need defending. Not the right to personal choice.
Now in Canada, they froze the bank account of a PPC candidate they didn't want running. Should they get the benefit of the doubt again?

As long as people aren't permitted to speak of it (en Anglais) then people won't be feeling bothered by their health care having hilarious long wait times. Except of course for the MAID program. That one probably gets people through with haste and efficiency. Sure looks that way from the numbers.
Like it or you are in danger of damaging your social credit score.
Translated from French by
Mass immigration is THE MOST IMPORTANT PROBLEM facing our country today.
It is the root cause of the housing crisis, the stagnation of our living standards, foreign interference, the collapse of our social cohesion and national identity, the rise in crime and many other problems.
But the woke idiots who organize the leaders' debates don't want English-speaking Canadians to hear about this issue! Not only do they not want them to know that the PPC is the only party calling for a moratorium and the deportation of illegal immigrants, but they also don't want the leaders of the establishment parties to explain to us why they are proposing to import hundreds of thousands more foreigners each year!
Canadian politics is a realshow!

Indeed. Now if the governments were as successful at taxing fairly the incomes of the elites as the elites are at making money we'd be in a better place.

Wishful thinking isn't going to change the underlying principles or assumptions that have set our democracies upon their current track - nor, I suspect, would you want them to be.
