Our brains are built to process info and handle it in certain ways. The blank brain sucks up info as a child and learns things such as language. Some of the functions of the brain rely heavily on the fact that a person can interpret the actions of another person in a certain way. So it is this ability to collect the info and patterns and use it in a practical way. The autistic brain has physically some differences. But the brain had to collect some info for a while to be functioning in our "normal" way. So there is an age in development when these skills appear.

The vaccination angle only connected to parents because certain vaccinations were done at the same time as parents started to notice the behavior.
Genetic factors may be the most significant cause of autism. Early studies of twins had estimated heritability to be over 90%, meaning that genetics explains over 90% of whether a child will develop autism.[1] This may be an overestimation, as later twin studies estimate the heritability at between 60 and 90%.
The first genes to be definitively shown to contribute to risk for autism were found in the early 1990s by researchers looking at gender-specific forms of autism caused by mutations on the X chromosome.

Leaving aside the issue of vaccinations, it does look to me as if the incidence of more severe forms of autism has increased over the last few decades.

I don't know of a physical test for autism either. Most of what I've seen used is behaviour observation, interview, and some cognitive tests.

"It would seem."

It would seem to me that more people are drowning after eating ice cream these days.

It would seem.

https://www.thetransmitter.org/spectrum ... nd-autism/
More than a quarter of autistic 8-year-olds in the United States have profound autism, according to a study published today in Public Health Reports. Although the overall prevalence of profound autism in this age group increased from 2002 to 2016, the prevalence of non-profound autism did so at a sharper rate, the findings show.
Image
Profound autism prevalence is also relatively stable across regions, whereas the prevalence of children with non-profound autism varies more widely, the study shows: from 260 per 10,000 in New Jersey to 104 per 10,000 in Colorado for the 2016 surveillance year.

Those regional differences may be explained by how accessible services are in a given state, as well as the site’s racial and ethnic makeup, Lord says.
Well, I highly recommend you avoid ice cream. I'll be safe eating it, though. The water here is still frozen.

Your chart displays our great leaps and bounds diagnosing autism of the barely measurable kind. Like we used to have figuring out ADHD. And the "chronic autism" by RFK Jr is not chronic.

My nephew with autism built his own desktop computer when he was in HS, out of parts he ordered on line. He currently works in IT. He also pays taxes, and has used the toilet unassisted since he was potty trained as a young child. He's never used LSD or had brain worms, either.

I hate to tell him…my son is autistic! He’s moving out on his own in 2 weeks, has been potty trained since he was 3 1/2 and is dating a nice girl he met from work at Costco where he’s been employed for 4 years. So RFK can eat dirt and shut the fuck up!

Autistic woman with a post grad in autism who worked in the charity sector here- paid. Eldest son, autistic, is a teacher of autistic children. Youngest autistic son wants to work in conservation. What absolute rot BUT my third son who won’t work because of learning difficulties and autism is not less or invalid because of it. He is just as human.

As someone who does OT who has worked with many autistic patients, I assure you that many can work and most can toilet themselves. It’s called early intervention and improved diagnostics. This man is legit dumb.

It's not 'my chart', but that diagnosing is addressed in the attached article.

The increased rates of 'profound autism' don't look like that. I'm not sure why anyone would be against trying to find out why the change.

There is no good trend in the "profound" lower graph. It skips several years.
It has been hypothesized that folic acid taken during pregnancy could play a role in reducing cases of autism by modulating gene expression through an epigenetic mechanism. This hypothesis is supported by multiple studies.[84]

Prenatal stress, consisting of exposure to life events or environmental factors that distress an expectant mother, has been hypothesized to contribute to autism, possibly as part of a gene-environment interaction.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_autism

The in utero situation is often a cause of different outcomes of the baby. So more likely it is expossure of the mother or lack of proper diet. The child after birth has been studied and no clear cause and effect found. So parents (genetic) and pregnancy are likely factors.

Women can't be scientists. And why should they anyway? Science is just more vaccines. They should be having babies. 38 out of 43 experts must be removed!

There was a vision. To look backwards.
"This whole Trump II administration is a cruel farce. Trump ran for another term not because he had any clue how to transform America for the 21st century. He ran in order to stay out of jail and to get revenge on those who, with real evidence, had tried to hold him accountable to the law. I doubt he has ever spent five minutes studying the work force of the future."
"But this farce is about to touch every American. By attacking our closest allies — Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea and the European Union — and our biggest rival, China, at the same time he makes clear he favors Russia over Ukraine and prefers climate-destroying energy industries over future-oriented ones, the planet be damned. Trump is triggering a serious loss of global confidence in America."

"You shrink all those things — our ability to attract the world’s most energetic and entrepreneurial immigrants, which allowed us to be the world’s center for innovation; our power to draw in a disproportionate share of the world’s savings, which allowed us to live beyond our means for decades; and our reputation for upholding the rule of law — and over time you end up with an America that will be less prosperous, less respected and increasingly isolated."

"(Trump) is undermining our sacred rule of law, he is tossing away our allies, he is undermining the value of the dollar and he is shredding any hope of national unity. He’s even got Canadians now boycotting Las Vegas because they don’t like to be told we will soon own them.
"If Trump doesn’t stop his rogue behavior, he’s going to destroy all the things that made America strong, respected and prosperous.

"I have never been more afraid for America’s future in my life."
"New York Times" regular columnist Thomas L Friedman.

Apparently advocating for due process is now aiding and abetting terrorists. We don’t love America. It’s odd how some people can wrap themselves in the flag only to be at odds with the spirit our laws every time they open their mouth.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

I notice the details suddenly matter. But we shouldn’t bother with them. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If a case number alone sullied Garcia’s reputation, then a jury finding Trump liable does the same for his.

due process?

How many deportation orders does it take? How many denied asylum claims? Demmies want to bog down the process, granting them a win (win means they get more non-voting workers for them)

I do know enough details. Liable means the people using lawfare against Trump couldn't get a conviction on the assault, so they took what they could get, as a talking point. Funny how even with judges and AG's in their pockets, they still couldn't get anything significant.
