Ah, but Sunak was elected onto the greasy pole, ultimately holding the two highest offices in govt (treasury minister and then PM) while also running a very successful hedge fund and amassing a personal fortune of c.£700m - and with his wife a combined fortune of over £1bn. By elite standards his wealth alone makes him eminently qualified to run a country, even putting aside over a decade's worth of political experience.

It's interesting that you think political experience at the heart of govt reflects badly on Sunak's CV, but the absence of it in Carney qualifies him for the top job in Canadian politics. I guess my question to you is: why do you love elites so much?

There is nothing wrong with a TRUE Canadian going to a foreign country, to access better health care and other services, and pay taxes to the other country.

Do you think Carney went to a foreign country, to access WORSE health care and other services?

He chose (as MANY do) to pay for better services, in a foreign country, and to pay taxes to that foreign country.

If he's allowed to do that, and still be considered 'decent', then why can't a country vote to do the same?

That's the beautiful thing about what the trucker protest accomplished for Canada, and the world. You get to choose if you lockdown, use a vaccine or other medication, keep that info private or public. All kinds of choice.
