Three times the Trump lawyers tried to sneak in a trick where Trump says "I was just following the advice of my counsel Michael Cohen." They renamed it twice. Not allowed. Judge banned it.

The judge ruled very early on that if Trump's team was going to use the 'advice of counsel' defense they needed to notify the court. They didn't provide any such notification and now, months into the trial they attempted to use that defense. The judge slapped them down of course.
