They always say "country", but they never say WHICH country! I'm from the proper side of the Missouri-Arkansas border, btw.

Isn't it curious how you can flood a welcome thread and never have the recipient post?

That's probably why we don't do it.FIO wrote:That's actually a very good idea!littlebitofnonsense wrote:Gawdzilla wrote:When would they get the chance?born-again-atheist wrote:Isn't it curious how you can flood a welcome thread and never have the recipient post?Does the person who starts the welcome thread PM the recipient and let them know about it?
Welcome, new guy!
However, there's nothing to say the FNG needs to post here. Sometimes warm and fuzzy can be obtained by viewing.

You didn't notice the segue there, I take it.littlebitofnonsense wrote:so long as they know the thread exists

You can take it or leave it.... up to you...
I did notice BTW, but I hardly think that was a segue. I agree that the recipient doesn't necessarily need to post in their welcome thread as they can gain warm and fuzzy by viewing, however they do need to know the thread exists before the viewing is possible.
