If google is making us stupid, what about Rationalia?

Post by Clinton Huxley » Fri Jul 24, 2009 10:21 am

Is google making us stupid?

Will civilization collapse under the welter of "what type of potato are you?" quizzes on Facebook?

Will Twitter turn you into a self-obsessed bore?

Maybe...

I used to read long articles too, however, that bore me before I finished the second paragraph.

I'm going to go ask google why.....

Interestingly, that article was the inspiration behind a book I've been writing.... at a glacially slow pace... and might finish..... eventually. Must ask google why.

Trouble is that anybody can post anything on the net and many of the articles are poorly written with SMS abbreviations and lolcat-speak spelling errors. I give up before the end of the second paragraph.

Just recently though, I bought a well-written book (God: The Failed Hypothesis by Victor Stenger) and read the 300 pages in three sittings.

Welcome Joe Bloe! Good to see another Aussie on here.

I have Stenger's and I must finish it sometime. Too many things to do.
