Ah, splendid. I had no idea there was a new book coming out :tea:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

I've only read one book by Dawkins (The God Delusion). I have no desire to read this new one. Seems like all evolution books are the same, unless Dawkins has some new evidence or something. :dono:

You make a good point. My understanding is that the book is at least in part the offering of so much evidence concerning evolution that 'design' fans and the like will not have a leg to stand on. If one does not need convincing he is, as it were, preaching to the converted. A bit like reading the Bible every day to convince yourself you have faith in God...oh - they do that some of them don't they!?

I imagine that while it won't be written for idiots, it also won't be too technical. I think the aim is for the public in general to be able to finish the book and agree that the evidence is overwhelming. So I doubt it will be like all evolution books. I mean, it's not going to sell well with the public if it's anything like Kimura's The Neutral Theory of Molecular Evolution, Simpson's Temp and Mode in Evolution or Levington's Genetics, paleontology and macroevolution. ;)

Did Cali proof read this book? Or whatever it was he was going to do?

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

I bet a lot of people would like to understand evolution, but have a hard time grasping anything but the basic fundamentals (myself included).

Pssst, I co-wrote the above books. The Neutral Theory of Molecular Evolution only took me 5 days to write. :tea:

Hmmm, well now it might be worth reading.

I iz bad at math. Thankfully, I had Divine inspiration while writing the book. :levi:

Ah, it's good to know our loving creator wanted you to spread the divine message that most mutations that become fixed are neutral with respect to fitness and fixed by genetic drift. And giving us the basis for the molecular clock through your own writing explains why the Lord hasn't had time to give us a cure for cancer yet. Must be on it's way... You're not writing that too are you?

Typical atheist, trying to use logic. God has not given me the cure for the cancer, but this is the way it must be. We can't understand His ways.

But, how?
