"The Western world is fucking awesome because of mostly white men" - DaveDodo007.
"Socialized medicine is just exactly as morally defensible as gassing and cooking Jews" - Seth. Yes, he really did say that..
"Seth you are a boon to this community" - Cunt.

I'm re-reading some of the Harry Bosch books by Michael Connelly, one of the best US crime writers...

I'm very interested in this, but I'm not sure about Karen Armstrong's narration. She's got an accent.

I'm basically just collecting a list of books to get when I purchase an annual subscription. I figure something about Ghandi will help me with the more contemplative things that I'm doing these days. To that end, his The Story of My Experiments with Truth: An Autobiography sounds like the exact thing I need. There are three different recordings, but the narrator of this one sounds like I imagine Ghandi sounding, so it's my top pick.

Finished some books on the "early modern" world including a murder in Finland in the 1670s.
Continuing to the history of Riga Latvia. All my Baltic books have to do with Sweden, Finland or the Baltic states, but I mostly skipped Latvia and Lithuania so far. Latvia was lumped together with Estonia for a period, as Livonia.
