It was Trump that got the ball rolling on the supreme court and the 6 week abortion bans. Not sure he thought it through. This is going to be a major election issue.
1 Biden is too old
2 but abortion!

I suspect that a lot of potential Democrat voters do indeed feel that Biden is too old, and that might be enough to give Trump the victory...

Conservative commentator George Will criticized 2024 GOP primary favorites former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in a column Friday, saying that both candidates will come out of the GOP primary weaker.

“The 2024 Republican nomination question was supposed to be: Could anyone harpoon the Great Orange Whale? Who knew that he would harpoon himself, repeatedly? Or that DeSantis, playing Captain Ahab, would pay Trump the sincerest form of flattery by imitating his persona as an unhappy warrior?” Will wrote in a Washington Post column.

“The nation is dispirited by the prospect of an all-too-familiar binary choice (between Joe Biden and Trump). Republicans might soon recoil from another: between Trump and DeSantis. Both candidacies are brittle.”

Trump going ahead with opposition to court before it actually charges him.
In a petition filed before the Georgia Supreme Court, Trump’s attorneys also sought to quash the final report of a special purpose grand jury that recommended people be indicted. Additionally, they requested a ruling that would forbid Willis from using any evidence obtained by the investigative jury, which heard testimony from about 75 witnesses between May 2022 and Jan. 2023.

Trump’s attorneys — Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg and Jennifer Little — acknowledged that the state Supreme Court had never once taken on such a request for extraordinary relief in the four decades it has had jurisdiction to do so. But the motion said if Trump’s case “is not sufficiently extraordinary for this court to exercise jurisdiction, no case could be.”

Willis’s office previously said Trump’s arguments for dismissal were barred by lack of standing, untimeliness and other procedural flaws. The Republican’s efforts were premature because no one has been charged with a crime yet, prosecutors said.

I'm surprised he can even find lawyers that will represent him. Trashing your reputation can't be worth the money.

It's the future! The Trumps and the DeSantises are here to stay for the next ten years. They will all get in trouble. Lots of legal work there. It will take them ten years to figure out they will never win in court. Maybe once in a while in state court. Not in federal court.

Trump is going to fire all current federal employees in DC when he gets elected. He will dissolve FBI as well. And Deep State.

The senile Biden is going to start WW III according to Trump. "2024 is our final battle."

There will be no never-Trumper in office a month into his final term. Though it will include an effort to give him endless terms.

a response elsewhere
A bit shortsighted of him not to fire the Deep State in his first term of Office.
Me: From what I remember of Woodward's book, it was mostly

that put a stop to it.

Also, in favor of the deep state destruction, Bannon was useless. Most revolutionaries are.

Everyone has a right to game the system if they can afford it. They should probably make sure he pays a good chunk up-front though.
