Bullshit. They created him chasing ratings. They can in part remove him from the scene by ignoring him. My guess is the brights on the other side think he’s a good stand in for the Republican Party. Fuck them all. He can be investigated to hell ‘n back without a word —but he’s Trump, so instead he gets more coverage out of office than even the current president and certainly any of his opponents. That’s not normal, nor in my opinion without consequences.

Trump says or does something stupid, outrageous, or criminal and everybody makes click bait about it - every headline starts with 'Trump', every news report repeats the folly along with his name, all repeating his image over and over again. And it all gets shared around. Pretty soon he looks like the only game in town, and it reinforces him as somehow important or significant. This is how trolls operate - they don't contribute much to the debate but they monopolise your awareness and your time.

Keep putting him on the front pages and leading the 6 o'clock news and sharing his every fart and he'll be president again for sure.
