He's already in paradise.
I think my barber may have the Shine.

"For that state in which the law is subject and has no authority, I perceive to be on the highway to ruin; but I see that the state in which the law is above the rulers, and the rulers are the inferiors of the law, has salvation, and every blessing which the Gods can confer." --Plato

Yeah, yeah, don't get excited. That asshole would have encouraged you to continue to follow the law regardless of your leaders too... :fp:

No, just a little neurotic... ;)

But I did eventually pluck up courage to fly, allowing me to visit NZ a few years back when David and Clare were working there. I quite enjoyed it...

4¼ hours of boredom. I could not find a movie worth watching, but the plane's collection of audiobooks came to the rescue. I finished up dipping into A Briefer History of Time by Hawking and Mlodinow. Interesting, and quite funny in places.

Takeoffs, landings and the banking turns they involve are OK, though. Here is a takeoff from Adelaide on the way to Brisbane.

The landing took place during a brief break between two floods. The plane hit a few minor air pockets on the way down.

I did not catch a flight until I was 20, or thereabouts. Best flight ever. The plane was a Fokker Friendship. The combination of the acceleration pushing me back into the seat and the roar of the turboprops on takeoff gave me goosebumps. It all seems less exciting in jet engined planes.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould
