Trying to follow some of the 'banned' news channels, their translations into English is a bit jarring in places. Certain lies probably work better in their original Russian...

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
This thing will drag on. Back in the early two weeks, I thought Putin was going to get what he wants (Donbas etc.) and be done with it by now. But this is just going to slide into the North and South Korea thing, with also some fighting going on, for the remainder of Biden's term. And somehow, the Bush thing will not work here. Keeping the same president during war. Voters want "someone else," especially Trumpsters and independents. DeSantis?

Practically all Russians that have little education support Putin. Fancy enterpreneurs etc tried to leave and ran out of money.

There's a reason that right-wing scum are fearful of education...

Yeah, lots of people forget that we share a border with Russia too. It's a tense situation for ANY country bordering that conflict. (obviously more so for Finland)
I hope peace happens soon, but unfortunately I think that means Russia gets a bit stronger, bolder and owns more real estate. That might not be good.

I fear you may be right. Facing such heavy political losses makes doubling down far more likely, unfortunately.

Not just that, but looking at corporate media, you would think the world supported Ukraine against invaders. Looking at who really supports them, yields a slightly different picture.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 6:16 pmI fear you may be right. I find it useful to check what the 'Friends Of Disney' say, and remember their track record.

You do you girl, but most people think that Ukraine has a right to the kind of self-determination they/we/you take for granted

Calling me a 'girl' is fine. Some of the best people I know are girls.
What are you trying to accomplish? Make me believe your position is firm?
Done! You are right about everything, especially when you change your avatar like everyone else in the corporate-media-approved 'resistance'.

Any of you guys use other sources for 'non-approved' news? (my country bans some state broadcasters)Telegram shipped another historic update this past weekend. In addition to features that redefine the boundaries of what a messaging app can do (never before have bots have been so powerful (https://t.me/telegram/178) or notification options so flexible (https://t.me/telegram/175)), we introduced half a dozen other improvements (https://telegram.org/blog/notifications-bots). Among them is support for more languages in message translations (https://t.me/TelegramTips/315) (to turn on the Translate button, head to Settings > Languages).
We recognize that Telegram has become the main source of information from Ukraine, and we hope that the tools we provide can help inform more people and save more lives. To ease the work of journalists around the world, all public channel posts in Ukrainian now always offer the translate button by default.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
Oh stop it. Everyone should support Ukraine. If I could I'd flip a switch to fry Putin and his cronies today --no question the world will be better off.
I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.
