Anti-war protests intensify in Russia along with police crackdown
As Russia’s war in Ukraine intensifies, so has defiance back home where police arrest thousands of protesters.


More than 5,000 people were arrested in Russia while taking part in demonstrations against Moscow’s war against Ukraine in 69 cities across the country on Sunday alone, according to the OVD-Info monitoring group.

That compares with 1,900 protesters arrested on February 24, the day of the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in Ukraine – a rise of 160 percent.

Poland should recognise West Belarus as an independent Peoples Republic, and Ukraine could support the independence of South Belarus.
Meanwhile Lithuania and Latvia should annex North Belarus, as historic part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

It couldn't make anything worse.

The Kremlin on Monday also released a four-point list of demands that could allow it to end the war in Ukraine “immediately”. Russia demands that Ukraine lay down its arms and declare itself neutral in its constitution. According to Russia, Ukraine must also recognize the Crimean peninsula as part of Russia and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions as independent.

Representatives of Russia and Ukraine are negotiating today, Monday, for the third time since the start of the war.

Russia accuses Ukraine, the United States and the UN Security Council of intentions to use birds, bats and insects to spread the disease, the British newspaper The Guardian reports .

Russia's UN spokesman Vasily Nebenzya claims that the West is preparing biological weapons in Ukraine that would be used to spread animals.

“The risk is extremely real, given the interest of Ukrainian extremist nationalist groups in working on dangerous pathogens alongside the U.S. Department of Defense,” Nebenzya said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said the allegations on Thursday were alleging the development of "ethnically targeted biological weapons" in Ukraine.
