The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Metal is the new progressive. But don't give me any Dream Theater.

The guitarist there writes the lyrics, and does so for his Amorphis band too, but never sings. I am on an Anti-Spotify kick today. This is what Esa has to say on that:
If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?
Holopainen
There’s a lot of things I would change but what needs to be changed is the sharing from streaming sources. Spotify is the worst example. It does benefit all the stock-holders but not the artists who are actually creating the content. If that’s not ripping-off someone then I don’t know what is. All the artists are depending from live-industry and now Covid-19 pandemic shut it down for approx two years. Maybe more, who knows. The positive side is that in metal-industry all the fans and listeners are extremely loyal and really want to support their artists by buying merchandise, physical albums etc. That is absolutely wonderful.
The Esas of the world are usually right. Timos and Karis not so much.

Most bands would be much better without a singer.
