The "dictators" have another variant and what happens? They are just loving it.
Is there any difference in the symptoms people are reporting?

According to Dr Angelique Coetzee, who runs a private practice in Pretoria, South Africa, the Omicron patients she has seen have presented with relatively mild symptoms, and none of the loss of taste of smell typically associated with Covid-19. Instead, they have had reported unusual symptoms, such as intense fatigue and a high pulse rate. However, it is too soon to know whether these anecdotal reports will be true of everyone who is infected with Omicron.
Common cold symptoms.

But of course it is a life threatening variant? We have once again a great Dutch word which describes how the vast majority feel; moedeloos. It belongs to that group of words that are almost untranslatable.
Off we go again and never mind how mild it is we have to get the full protection.

It will also be vital to know whether it can slip past the immunity conferred either by vaccination or past exposure to earlier strains.

New variant makes you....tired?

. They were mostly healthy men who turned up “feeling so tired”. About half of them were unvaccinated.
“We had one very interesting case, a kid, about six years old, with a temperature and a very high pulse rate, and I wondered if I should admit her. But when I followed up two days later, she was so much better,” Dr Coetzee says.

"tired" is simply body fighting the virus ....fatigue is a common symptom even from a jab.

Seems two of our party have a cold. Runny nose etc. After a lot of activity for several days. I am not coughing so assuming it is nothing else, but the other one was. I guess we've just forgotten colds. Since we did not have any last winter. The other one of us was able to drive home. Mostly in the morning he had symptoms. Also possible our house is very dry in winter time. But it does not usually affect me in this house.

I did not approve any of the activity, but with all those people in the house they had to invent something. They also saw four other vaccinated people I did not meet.

I have one unused covid test left.

Anti-vaxx libertarian nutters are inherently unstable, violent and utter arseholes...

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-29/ ... /100658404
A Thornbury cafe owner says he is scared to work after anti-vax vandals targeted his business, causing damage and leaving a death threat.

The inner-city venue in Melbourne's north racked up thousands of dollars in damage after a brick was hurled through Briki Cafe on Monday.

Owner Symeon Kandias said he saw glass strewn all over the pavement in front of his shop when he turned up to work in the morning.

"My main window where I serve the coffee from was … in a million pieces," he said.

" had a closer look, there was a massive brown brick inside."

Mr Kandias said there was also a "threatening note" on the front door with a death threat.

"The note said if I continued to follow [Victorian Premier] Dan Andrews that they will come back and set my shop alight," he said.

"It was a bit confronting, to be honest."

Libertarianism is essentially an adolescent approach to politics and life (in my opinion) so it's not out of character to express it with juvenile destructiveness.

You're thinking on this is contradictory.

:hehe:

Met a passing acquaintance in the park at the weekend. A PE teacher. He's had his jabs, because he has to for work, but he also thinks that 'government agents' and big Pharma created the virus in the Wuhan lab. His 'reasoning' included that he'd had the Covid twice in the first wave and it didn't kill - therefore it's not as bad as everyone says and the govt etc were using it as an excuse to control the population. A familiar argument from personal experience I guess. I said that I completely agreed with him, that the government and global corporations didn't have his best interests at heart, but then I asked him why was he putting his faith in an unfalsifiable hypothesis when the scientific facts can fully account for the outbreak and spread of the virus as a contagion that had jumped the species barrier. He told me to fuck off, and then stomped off without a backward glance! :D

Anyway, had my Moderna booster today. Bill Gates still coming in loud and clear.
