Pfizer may be able to get the US to vaccinate a 3rd time if they show it prevents deaths.

A step too far, I think. I know that ideally, one would like 100% take up of the vaccine, but to achieve it by compulsion is letting the ends justify the means, always a dangerous thing to do. Are we to get burly hospital orderlies to hold them down, gags muffling their screams as the men in white coats give them their jab?

The hard-core anti-vaxxers can be left to stew in their own, covid-tainted juice, while some judicious combination of stick and carrot should bring in enough of the waverers and apathetic to achieve a reasonable percentage vaccinated.

I agree Jim. Compulsion would lead to corruption. If people dont want to vaccinate well that is their choice. They take the risk.

Unfortunately, it's is not just them who takes the risk - they put at risk everyone else. That's why I would support any measures to increase vaccination rates other than compulsion.
