Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
The voting rights went to the back burner. If the bill passed, a few years later the supreme court would cancel it. Even though we have the 14th amendment:
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.[2]

The Dems are not social democrats, you know? They're neoliberals.

No they're not. They are far left radicals. Cunt and 42 told me so.

That would be 42 and Seth. Our member from Yellowknife just asks questions and tells us who he trusts less than others.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 4:06 amNo they're not. They are far left radicals. Cunt and 42 told me so.

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?
The Silver State. 1894.

This removal would be an unprecedented and dangerous politicization of the Social Security Administration," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a Friday tweet before the news of Saul's firing broke.
Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
Perhaps old Mitch has a point, but Biden probably checked with his Attorney General to make sure that wasn't the case.
I guess that would make it alright.

File this under 'boring' perhaps. Alternately--'outrageous socialism' or 'interesting words, will wait for actual results.'

'Biden Applauded for Executive Order Targeting "Insidious" Anti-Worker Practices'
Among the 72 initiatives packed into the far-reaching executive order President Joe Biden signed Friday are steps that labor advocates welcomed as important victories for U.S. workers, including a provision calling for the limitation of noncompete clauses that drive down wages by preventing employees from quitting for better-paying jobs.
Presented as an effort to promote competition in an economy increasingly dominated by a handful of massive corporations, Biden's sweeping order calls on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)—now headed by antitrust law expert Lina Khan—to "ban or limit non-compete agreements," which the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen described as "insidious" ploys to restrict worker mobility and suppress wages.
Biden echoed that message in a speech on Friday, declaring that corporations use noncompete clauses "for one reason: to keep wages low."
Analysts estimate that tens of millions of private-sector workers are currently under some form of noncompete clause preventing them from leaving their jobs to work for—or start—a competing business within a certain period of time.
HuffPost labor reporter Dave Jamieson noted that while noncompete clauses have "traditionally been used to protect closely guarded business secrets in high-income fields... they have proliferated so much in recent years that they touch all income levels, even low-wage service work."
"In many cases, noncompete clauses are only 'agreements' in theory, since not signing one means not getting the job," Jamieson observed.

Fact-checking is funniest when the fact-checkers are one-sided politically.
I just call it censorship. And consider how those 'fact-checks' look when discussed on less-censored platforms.

Freedom of speech means alternative facts, doncha know.
Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
Yeah, and pointing out the actual facts is censorship.

Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
Of course.
Doesn't everyone?
Whenever I hear of facebook censoring 'medical misinformation' on behalf of the Biden administration, I look at their policy around reiki healing, chiropractic, acupuncture, and any other source of ad-revenue for them.
Then I think their selective enforcement of rules shows their goals are other than stated.
Maybe if they were accountable, instead of being an unaccountable partner to some governments/parties, they could convince people that they were doing the right thing.
Instead, it looks like they are simply doing the Biden thing. Probably not able to FOIA facebook, which makes it start looking like fascism is another accusation that the Biden gang should be wearing.
