Very interesting read - but I'm not sure they had gain of function research back then, so it's a rather suspect hypothesis, obviously.

Must be wrong. The Earth has only existed for a mere 6000 years according to bishop Usher.

Foxnews

still reporting that 10% of old Norwegians died from being vaccinated.
“What they’ve presented out of Norway appears to be consistent with normal life, and not with vaccine-induced issues,” says Helen Keipp Talbot, associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University, who studies vaccines in older adults and advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccine use. “I think it's really a matter of being aware that death is common in a nursing home.”

There is an onion story to be written there, but I will not use it. "Liberal doctors vaccinating terminal patients to inflate Covid deaths under Trump."

Pah. FOX and the Right like to trot Norway out as an emblem of all things decent and correct, and (cough) white of course, but they never talk about Norway's public spending or progressive taxation system do they?

Free health and education which is totally paid by the wise investment of the oil money which is kept in the public funds which for the right wing American is totally mind blowing.

Well good-bye masks. Almost all restrictions have been lifted. Most areas of the country have reached the 85% vaccination mark for at least one jab.

Officially of all Australians almost 30% are not prepared to have the jab? Quite amazing as here almost 95% are willing to have it. The exceptions are religious nutters and muslims (well they are religious nutters).

Official days days something different:

8.8 million people vaccinated with at least one dose. That's not 85% but only about 60%.

Willingness for vaccination only at 85%, not 95%

That's obviously all fairy data. Scot's data that he pulled out of his arse is the correct data.

Yep that is not my data as that is only from the GGD centres and does not take the numbers from the GP's.

Here is the article from the Volkskrant with plenty of graphs.

Nederland rukt in EU op naar top vaccinatieranglijst dankzij hoge bereidheid

(The Netherlands is reaching the top of the vaccination list in the EU thank to the willingness of the high acceptance.)

I cant hot link the graphs anymore.

It is tricky getting real information about willingness to vaccinate in Australia. Our main vaccine was to be AstraZeneca (and I've had my first dose of it, second booked in), but with growing numbers of people, particularly under 60 developing blood clots, many people are hesitant, even though the risk is very small. With Pfeizer vaccines and others coming on stream later in the year, many are simply delaying until then; you cannot really count them as vaccine refusers. Having said that, the federal government has been basically incompetent in its vaccine roll-out.

AstraZeneca boss Pascal Soriot is up for bonuses and share awards worth 900% of his base salary of £1.3m.
