And there's the fact that these people had security clearances and potentially classified information on their phones. Heck, I've got security software on my phone because of HIPAA, and it will be wiped when I leave my job, or if I lose it, or someone presses the wrong button. :hehe:

Every time, before 2016, that Trump businesses were to be audited all the laptops were accidentally smashed with sledgehammers.
Yes, destroying evidence is popular among government officials.

They even mock the public when caught. Like Hillary did.
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/hillary ... d=33165517
" Hillary Clinton joked to reporters Tuesday in Las Vegas about whether she "wiped" her email server clean before giving it to the FBI.

“What? Like with a cloth or something?” she asked, then laughed. “I don’t know how it works digitally at all.”
I think hiding evidence of that kind should be considered evidence of ill intent. The 'mericans did so when they rejected Hillary, even though that left them with only Trump to vote for.

Think of how ugly her actions were seen, to cause so many to choose Trump over her.

Hiding "evidence"? You've got the cart before the horse there. Your next statement demonstrates neatly the necessity of the above PSA.

Wiping her servers, and being cavalier about it - making fun of the questioner like that, is what gave the US Trump.

Draw your own conclusions about whether that is 'right'.

That could be, I'm surprised she won the popular vote like she did. So many just hate the Clintons.

Nah, racism and red scare and decades of Fox News and hate radio gave us Trump.

Well, that and the promise of a change from a frankly disappointing bunch of neoliberals.

Not that the Republicans were better, but Trump convinced enough of the plebs that he is different to succeed.

It must have been Jared who decided to snoop on the Democratic legislators, their families, and their staff. None of the Trump pillars of the law enforcement community being willing to own this seems like a clue that it might be toxic. :coffee:

Rod Rosenstein Says He Had No Idea About DOJ Snooping on Dems'
Three of Donald Trump’s top Justice Department officials have now pleaded ignorance about their agency’s seizures of data on the communications of two Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA). Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been telling those close to him recently that he was unaware of the subpoenas that led to the seizure of data on 36 email addresses and 73 phone numbers from Apple in 2017 and 2018, joining William Barr and Jeff Sessions in making similar assertions, CNN reports. The leak investigation that led to the subpoena would have fallen under Rosenstein’s purview, as then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions had recused himself from matters related to the investigation of Russian interference. In addition to Schiff and Swalwell, the subpoenas targeted their aides and family members, including a minor.

The Justice Department’s incursions on the communications of congressional Democrats represents an extraordinary expansion of its domestic surveillance, and the news comes after weeks of revelations about how the bureau issued subpoenas for the phone and email records of journalists at CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times and legally gagged executives at those outlets, as well as at Apple, Microsoft, and Google. The department’s inspector general has launched a probe into the origins of the requests to Apple.

More 'mericans voted for Hillary.

...let that sink in.

Plus all those 'merican citizens that would've voted for her in Puerto Rica.

...For instance the phrase "American picked Bush because he felt like the kind of guy you could have a beer with" (or functionally identical or similar observations) were made a lot during and after the Bush Presidency, with the observation that that's a horrible way to pick the President and I agree 100%. But at least the statement was correct, one can imagine sitting down and having a beer with George W. Bush.

I can't do that with Trump. He'd pretend he left his wallet in the car, make me buy the first round, then disappear for the rest of the evening and at last call I'd learn he charged a 400 dollar bottle of champagne on my tab for a group of strippers and left an hour ago.

I can imagine listening to Reagan speak about Americana and being emotionally moved even if I think he was a horrible President who used a very false idea of Americana to promote his agenda. But again not Trump. There was no slick silver lining around his dark cloud. Hell even Nixon legit loved his family and pets.

So it's not a matter of "Is Trump the worst President if we graph on this chart of objective good versus objective bad." The internet really just needs to accept that those question don't really have answers in the way they expect them to. But with Trump the question is "Has any President ever actually had fewer good qualities? Does Trump have any?"

Obama, the Bushes, Reagan, Ford, Clinton, Carter, even Nixon. All of them had moments, sometimes far too rare but still moments, of humanity and goodness. Some of them were good people, some of them were bad, but they all had some internal motivation between just simple trolling jackassery.

But what are Trump's good qualities? He's not a smart man but he also doesn't have Reagan or the Bushes down to Earthiness. He's not a good liberal or a good conservative. He's not a good family man. Hell he's not even a good rich man. He's bad at everything.

His only quality is a psychopathic obession with power that somehow when the stars aligned made him the perfect figurehead for the growing demographic of nihilistic trolls.

Funny how, after smashing Hillary, he gained millions of votes over the next four years.

Still lost to Biden and his charming 'diversity hire' program, but he DID gain a lot of votes while presidenting.

Best to ignore the fact that much of the country agreed with him though. Much more sensible to ban him from all social media, and pretend everyone always hated him.
