They're OK. They don't pack the punch a larger caliber hunting rifle does, and aren't as accurate at longer ranges.

Well, to be fair that is exactly what they were designed for, though there is a school of thought that claims they're designed more to wound than kill, hence the smaller caliber. Apparently a wounded soldier is more of a drain on enemy resources than a dead one.
