Where do you get the idea of comparing internet to a cave? if anything, the image of the cave would be a reminder of the Platonician myth, where the dwellers in the cave only have access to a deformed version of reality.
Ulpian was a well known Latin author... what he's doing there, I know no more than you do.
and while a computer screen might be compared to a lamp, that's certainly not its actual use, and I'd like to know what makes you think that nostradmus might have had the intuition of cathodic screens more than 3 centuries before they were invented.
