Never noticed that. My JW aunt sure wants to convert me, but she never sent any lissome young coreligionist to hook me in with flirty fishing.Scot Dutchy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:15 pmJW's are really the most horniest bunch. One thing I never got, is that one of the basic messages of chretin faith is the Jeebus came to redeem us all, even whores and tax takers, so why is it important that you worship and believe in the exactly correct manner?JimC wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:33 pmIt amuses me that, in the view of some christian cults, being in a different christian cult is just as bad as being an atheist...Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 9:30 pmWell, I can say from my limited experience that the JWs think everyone else has basically been conned by the devil. It's an emo type lovesong. The singer wants to escape the real world by means of a (metaphorical?) caress of a particular girl. Here are the lyrics lyrics:
Well, I'm down on my knees again
And I pray to the only one
Who has the strength to bear the pain
To forgive all the things that I've done
Oh, girl
Lead me into your darkness
When this world is trying its hardest
To leave me unimpressed
Just one caress
From you and I'm blessed
When you think you've tried every road
Every avenue
Take one more look, what you found old
And in it, you'll find something new
Oh, girl
Lead me into your darkness
When this world is trying its hardest
To leave me unimpressed
Just one caress
From you and I'm blessed
I'm shying from the light
I always loved the night
And now you offer me
Eternal darkness
I have to believe that sin
Can make a better man
Well, it's the mood that I am in
That's left us back where we began
Oh, girl
Lead me into your darkness
When this world is trying its hardest
To leave me unimpressed
Just one caress
From you and I'm blessed
YouTube's automatic copyright enforcer probably nixed that particular upload, but links to it can still be found in a couple of external web pages. They provide sufficient information to identify the deleted song, which in turn can be found residing in the officially sanctioned Depeche Mode channel. Here it is:
For the record (no pun intended), I regard Depeche Mode as one of the better pop music bands, though I do not give it any prophetic significance.

I think the most ridiculous were the battles in France over the trinity. That was totally absurd. Mind you any battle over religion is disgusting.Svartalf wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 8:36 amOne thing I never got, is that one of the basic messages of chretin faith is the Jeebus came to redeem us all, even whores and tax takers, so why is it important that you worship and believe in the exactly correct manner?JimC wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 10:33 pmIt amuses me that, in the view of some christian cults, being in a different christian cult is just as bad as being an atheist...Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 9:30 pmWell, I can say from my limited experience that the JWs think everyone else has basically been conned by the devil. What is also absurd and completely insane is how the extreme orthodox protestants go about their religion. Here you have so called 'chapter' churches which set out their rules for their church in a chapter. They totally independent fiercely of each other. Any one can set up a chapter church just get a group self minded idiots and a minister of pastor and off you go. It is very common to have schisms. One idiot has a dream and claims that god has offered him say five places in heaven so he leaves and sets up a another church in the same village. It splits the village with the two congregations not speaking to each other until the next schism. You may see in a very small village three or four churches. Pure madness. Well what do expect with all the incestuous relationships.

I'm not going through all that. Show me the strongest argument.
Who created the heavens and the earth? Did they come from nothing? Obviously not. They had to be created somehow.
