It means that it would be dumb as rocks to expect them to arrive at the same place, with the same amount of...anything.

I really don't think I could find 2 people who were equal, nevermind 2 groups. Should I just make you give me half your money, so we aren't unequal? Or should I slow down in a foot race, so that we finish at the same time? (assuming you don't train running the way I do)

They may well be described as that, but their existence has nothing whatsoever to do with a rational analysis of the social and economic disadvantage suffered, on average, by non-whites in the US.

It's not careless. It demonstrates that blacks are worse off as a group than whites as a group. Yes, there are billionaires and dirt poor people among both, but the different ratios are irrefutable evidence that whites are significantly better off than blacks. And that is proof of racism.

Pursuing equality of outcome seems to ignore individual differences, but I do understand why you would want to use that sort of view on things.

It probably is why ISIS and Trump supporters seem the same to you.

Or any two groups, where one outperforms the other. It doesn't prove racism any more than women earning more university degrees proves sexism.
