I'm going to go listen to some Bach cantata. You know - for contrast.
Here's a snippet of one of them:

A UK survey recently showed that people across age groups grossly over estimated the level of violent crime, and another that showed people grossly under estimate how many calories they consume in a day.Cunt wrote:I don't know...Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:45 amYeah. On the totals alone US cops shoot more unarmed white men than unarmed Black men. What do you think that tells us?Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 9:08 pmShapiro reviewed a poll which asked how many black men were killed by police in 2019 (or was it 2020?)
What was so interesting to me, was how the poll respondents were wrong on that number, according to their political alignment.
Anyone want to guess which party was 'follow the science' and which was 'suckle at the establishment propaganda'?
I was wrong by about a factor of 10, by the way.
Nobody knows what that means either.

CPAC will be all Trump

Trump’s grip on the Republican base and his effect on the minds of White House hopefuls is so total, they say, that the path to the GOP nomination is best defined by the degree of loyalty to Trump — to the point where party operatives reach for elaborate metaphors to best convey the extent of his influence.
"Trump remains the 800-pound gorilla in the room, he just happens to be sitting in the corner right now,” former Michigan state chair Saul Anuzis said, joking that the social media de-platforming of the former president is “more like an electronic dog fence. … You can definitely still hear the bark.”

Re: Republicans: continued
Had discussions elsewhere about the Trump effect, and it will still be working in 2022. People do not change political views easily, and hate to admit loss. Trump had a slightly bigger influence over races overall, as the Trump vote kept Republicans in office. The ones in norderline states tend to be even more extreme. In red states you can be republican simply by opposing abortion and taxes.
So we will see a strong Trump involvement for 2 years so he can get revenge on Republicans that betrayed him. And the GOP will benefit from turnout. We may see Mitch rule for another 2 years. But never after 2024.

In this case, those who were wrong about the numbers, were consistently estimating VERY high. There were also riots about how high that number was.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:23 amA UK survey recently showed that people across age groups grossly over estimated the level of violent crime, and another that showed people grossly under estimate how many calories they consume in a day.
Nobody knows what that means either.
But nobody knows what that means.
Of course, we only know for ourselves, how accurately we may have been estimating that number.

Re: Republicans: continued
She did more than that. She got up and made a speech ensuring her anti-trans credentials, and got the Republicans in the House of Representatives to support her effort to quash an equal rights bill. Q-nut and transphobic, what's not to love about the bleached-blonde zealot.Tero wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 12:17 pmhttps://twitter.com/RepMTG/status/13647 ... 78/photo/1
Marjorie Green put up a science sign
'"We Can't Act Like This Isn't Happening": Marjorie Taylor Greene—and House GOP Caucus—Rebuked for Bigoted, Anti-Trans Speech on House Floor'
Progressive lawmakers and human rights advocates on Wednesday condemned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene—and the GOP caucus that backed her up—after the Georgia Republican went on a hateful anti-transgender screed before moving to adjourn the House of Representatives to stop a vote on the Equality Act.
The Equality Act, which would ban discrimination against people based on sexual orientation and gender identity, is all but certain to pass despite vehement Republican opposition.

Trans-phobic?
I didn't see anything which suggested she feared anyone. In fact, it is VERY dangerous to speak out against the trans lobbyists, politically.
I don't think people are as often 'trans-phobic', as they are 'trans-lobbyist-phobic'.
It's very popular to accuse people of being 'phobic', or 'deniers'. Those are buzzwords to help spot bullshit.

Re: Republicans: continued
Some dopes focus on one particular aspect of the definition of 'phobia' to promote fallacious bad-faith disputations when the term is used. I can understand that those who are unwilling to educate themselves might be taken in by such a fallacious bad-faith position. However, once they've been informed of the actual definition, they will either cease parroting the fallacious bad-faith position, or will continue to parrot it, which strongly implies that they are themselves knowingly perpetuating that position.Cunt wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 5:20 pmTrans-phobic?

The Oxford English Dictionary is a reputable source for definitions. In that source we find the following defintion:
From this it is clear that while fear is one element that may be construed from the term, in fact it encompasses a number of elements.A fear, horror, strong dislike, or aversion; esp. an extreme or irrational fear or dread aroused by a particular object or circumstance.
I don't expect that you will cease parroting the fallacious bad-faith position, but you will be doing so having been informed in clear language that it is fallacious and demonstrates bad faith.
Re: Republicans: continued
Are you saying that the label 'transphobic' really means someone who has a strong dislike or aversion?
There really are only two sexes, no matter how hard you wish.
I don't mind if a person wants to date either sex, or live as either sex, but I'm not willing to lie, and say that a man is a woman.
Is that 'phobic' to you, too? Or do facts matter?
