Lol. If you don't listen to the podcast you don't trust the science.

Rephrasing: "I won't say it's interesting because people might ask me to explain why I think it is a good talk." Great opener for a discussion, Daggles.

It's a joke from the podcast. He gets pedantic about some stupid phrases.

One is 'make america great again'. He says it is fine, but for that last 'A', which rubs in the fact that, for some, it was never great.

Another is 'trust the science'. He dislikes that middle word, because there is no 'science' to trust. It is a method, and while you can trust science, 'trust the science' is something a faithful adherent of a belief would say, rather than a scientist.

Tony Blair is making a lot of noise for an international Covid passport that would allow people who have been vaccinated to travel abroad.

My guess is he's had his jab and doesn't see why he shouldn't be able to jet around the world shaking hands for cash.

The Dark Horse Podcast had another good talk about the virus and the lab leak hypothesis. They also touched on outdoor transmission, masking in outdoor environments, policy and cultural issues around masking.
Who gives a fuck? You won't engage in a discussion about it anyway.

(CNN)South African health officials said Sunday they're pausing the country's rollout of AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine after a study showed it offered reduced protection from the Covid-19 variant first identified there.

Have you never worked in government before?

The 'evidence' is Covid is a Corona Virus, and the Wuhan Lab did some work on viruses.

There is nothing to show it escaped from that lab or any other.

Fail indeed, Bainrow. Maybe you should watch it again, to see the parts you missed.
I've already wasted too much of my life on that drivel, no thanks.

Perhaps you could show that bit of "evidence" to us all, you know, that bit you personally find compelling?

Another problem?

Oxford Covid vaccine 10% effective against South African variant, study suggests
Small-scale trial of vaccine’s efficacy shows it offers very little protection against mild to moderate infection

The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine offers as little as 10% protection against the Covid variant first seen in South Africa, researchers have suggested.

Scientists who conducted a small-scale trial of the vaccine’s efficacy said it showed very little protection against mild to moderate infection, though they expressed hope that – in theory – it would still offer significant protection against more serious infection.
