Re: The Coronavirus Thread
I mostly don't watch videos, for various reasons. I don't know if it is 'representative of their views', but it might be...
I haven't seen their 'Maher' segment, but will try it next time I have video time to spend.

Internet tip of the day:
Videos are just like podcasts. Only with picture added! You can play it like a podcast.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Mostly, I listen to podcasts on a headset. Videos don't stream that way, and take a LOT more of my semi-precious data.Tero wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 2:40 pmInternet tip of the day:

Audio allows me to get on with my day while listening.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Bullshit. Or haven't you watched any of those videos by Crowder and the Weinsteins that last between one and two hours which you have recommended for us to watch?
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Yeah, I download Maher to my ancient iPod and only listen to the audio. You can get the audio as Real Time with Bill Maher. They are the first segment after the monologue.

Added. I will probably think it is representative, and condensed.
Is there some reason you want to know if it is 'representative'? I'm not really sure what you mean.

Simple, so I understand if I'm hearing their reasoning in it's entirety.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
You aren't. They go on longer on the podcast.
Many different times, on different particulars of their condensed discussion on Maher. (I'm listening now, thanks)
One example, is that they talk in more depth about 'gain of function' research on some of the Dark Horse episodes.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Do you have an episode you recommend?Cunt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:36 pmYou aren't. They go on longer on the podcast.

If you are looking for a certain issue, I can watch for it. If you look at 'Dark Horse Podcast', you'll see the episode following this, where they kind of recap issues raised on the episode.Joe wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:59 pmDo you have an episode you recommend?Cunt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:36 pmYou aren't. Also, they compliment Maher for his team making a switch for them quickly. (some pedantic diva-tantrum about theory vs hypothesis)
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Snagged it, but if I remember my science stuff right, the difference between a hypothesis and a theory isn't mere pedantry. I'll see what they have to say.Cunt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 5:25 pmIf you are looking for a certain issue, I can watch for it.
