Covid 19 bill likely to go thru with no Republican support

-Obama recovery was compromised, getting 3 republicans.

-Obamacare had 200 amendments requested by Republicans. No Republicans voted for it.

-Immigration bill: same deal, but did not pass.

Bipartisanship is over. it did not happen in 2009-2016. Not going to happen now.

But, what bill would Republicans pass? Tax cuts. They only pass tax cuts.

Biden Administration Halts Residential Evictions in USDA Multifamily Housing Communities in Accordance with CDC Guidance

WASHINGTON, Feb. 1, 2021 — In one of his first acts in office, President Joe Biden requested federal agencies to extend the eviction and foreclosure moratorium for millions of Americans impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) extended the eviction and foreclosure moratorium to affected multifamily housing residents through March 31, 2021. This halt in residential evictions allows the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to extend relief to the tens-of-thousands of Americans who rely on USDA-supported multifamily housing communities.

I love all this boring shit that's got fuckall to do with what the media yammers on about e.g. I heard someone lost a book deal and censorship is all the rage these days.

US temporarily halts arms sales to UAE, Saudi Arabia

The U.S. State Department called the hold “a routine administrative action,” as new administrations usually review such matters.
(January 27, 2021 / JNS) The Biden administration has temporarily halted U.S. arms sales to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, according to media reports, citing U.S. officials.

The $23 billion U.S. sale of 50 F-35 fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates, which was reached after the UAE normalized ties with Israel, is currently under review by the administration, which has not made a decision as to whether the sale will actually occur.

The U.S. State Department called the temporary hold “a routine administrative action,” as new administrations usually review significant arms sales.
https://www.jns.org/us-temporarily-halt ... di-arabia/

Here they bring up the war in Yemen as a possible reason for stopping the sale, but elsewhere our promise to support Israel's QME (Qualitative Military Edge) has been mentioned as the reason. But that sounds paranoid, --or maybe it's just a bit of advertising for the often bad-mouthed jet.

I thought the Democrats have a majority now in both chambers? So what could stop them from making law whatever they want? Why did the immigration bill not pass? Democrat defectors? Higher majorities required for certain laws?

They can only pass one budget bill in a fiscal year with a simple majority.

Additional bills require 60 votes in senate. This saved us in the Trump era from ruin. He only passed one tax cutting bill.

In short, a single Republican can send an email and make any vote require a supermajority to pass.

I was just telling you why the Dems are reported to be upset. Might have misunderstood your use of 'fuck' in your 'what the fuck' comment.

Or maybe what doesn't mean what I thought what means.

If you call Walgreens, tape says to go to county website.
But:
(CNN)The Biden administration announced Tuesday it will begin direct shipments of coronavirus vaccines to retail pharmacies next week, expanding points of access for Americans to receive shots as concerns about variants of the virus expand.

Additional budget bills, or additional bills of any type?
