I can't stand most of the music they put on. It's like watching an endless American Idol show. But they had to do it.
International disaster, gonna be a blaster
Gonna rearrange our lives
International disaster, send for the master
Don't wait to see the white of his eyes
International disaster, international disaster
Price of silver droppin' so do yer Christmas shopping
Before you lose the chance to score (Pembroke)

Neither Joe Biden nor the Democratic Party are "the left". And they are not in charge of all the institutions. Most state governments are Republican controlled. Then there are the tens of thousands of police departments, school boards, churches...

Those cities with big riots, like Chicago, Portland and New York...republicans?
Hollywood?
Universities?
Tech giants?
You think those 'institutional powers' are on the right?
I'm understanding your position better post by post.

Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
That's pretty much what you wrote about disadvantaged children just a day or two ago. Biden just took a different approach to the matter. He does not care why so many disadvantaged children become criminals 15 years later. He just wants them off the streets and into jails, because that, so he says, makes the streets safer for law abiding citizens. That's not a policy popular among the left, is it? (I don't know how many times I, and others, have to tell you that he is not of the left. Maybe it'll sink in one day, but I am not hopeful.) You look at the issue from a thoroughly socialist angle. The disadvantaged children who finish up in jail are victims of their upbringing. Jailing them is the crime.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:38 pmMay or may not have answered this person who tweeted a complain.
This 'Christian Lemar' is probably a white supremacist proud boy. Who else would attack the very presidential Biden?

Joe we wont FORGET your words,
“ they havent been socialized, they will become the predators. “
Who’s they Biden? Black Men?
You’re on a RAMPAGE of LIES, don’t u need to look in the mirror for the 1994 Clinton Crime Bill?
$9.7 billion that HURT all Americans including blacks.

Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
The US has 2 parties. Most call Republicans 'right' or 'alt-right'. That leaves an obvious trap for anyone accusing the supporters of the other party of being left.
How foolish.
The left in the US made their choice. They slurped up the candidates they were given, and voted for him in historic numbers.

They had no choice. It was either Biden or 4 more years of quasi-fascism.Cunt wrote: The left in the US made their choice.

Can you show me on the dolly where the bad orange man fascisted you? Or which liberty he removed while in office?pErvinalia wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 3:29 amThey had no choice. It was either Biden or 4 more years of quasi-fascism.Cunt wrote: The left in the US made their choice.

Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
I wish you would, but it seems you cannot comprehend what I write at all.
Let's go through this again. I'll type slowly.
You started with two assumptions: "Since the left is in charge of all the institutions now..." They are interlinked. The first assumption is that "the left" is in control. I ignored your misidentification of Biden and or the Democratic Party as being "the left" because I'm kind of getting bored with pointing your mistake out every time you make it, which is often, and moved on to the second mistake. That is the "in charge of all the institutions now" bit. So I tried to point out the tens of thousands of institutions that the (not) left does not control.
Rhetorical question time: Did I claim anywhere at all that the Democratic Party controls no institution? I may be an idiot, but I am not so dense to ignore that the Dems control three fucking monstrously huge institutions: the Presidency, the Senate (just) and the House of Reps. And no, I will not deny that they also control cities like Chicago, Portland and New York. As for Hollywood and Tech giants, thing money as the the prime motivating factor. Universities? Looks like cherry picking to me. Harvard alone churns out more students with degrees in business administration than all universities in the country manage to produce revolutionary firebrands.

As for Trump here is someone listing 14 accomplishments everyone ought to be able to agree on. The kicker is in the last 30 seconds.

Re: All Things Biden: Is It Over Yet?
Start with 'the republicans are the right, the dems are the left, in the US.
From that honest (if coarse) beginning, you can try to make sense about who is running the institutions, cultural and political, which push all this Democrat-friendly messaging and somehow are republican

I don't get the energy or transportation secretary picks, or several others really. What's the reasoning behind putting politicians in charge? I can see why it's possible, but would it hurt to go the other way and use talented experts with some political skills, rather than expert politicians with no practical industry skills?
It's weird, almost like the positions don't matter or work in the way you'd expect.

No. You made a claim. I replied to it. The Dems do not control all institutions. Take it from there.
As for the right-left division, there is no left in the US unless you insist that half a dozen purple-haired university lecturers qualify as part of the big political scene in that country.
The political scenery in the US. Top row as perceived. The reality below. Add the purple-haired university lecturers yourself if you want to. I won't because they are insignificant.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/biden-energy- ... d=75326948President-elect Joe Biden's energy secretary pick, Jennifer Granholm, has disclosed millions of dollars of investments in corporate and private business interests, including millions in companies linked to the energy industry, as lawmakers prepare to consider her nomination.
The former two-term Michigan governor and her husband, Daniel Mulhern, reported owning from $4.4 million up to $16.8 million in corporate interests and private assets like residential real estate properties, according to her new financial disclosure report released by the Office of Government Ethics on Monday.
Among her biggest assets are $1 million to $5 million worth of stock options she can exercise in Proterra Inc., a company that designs and manufactures zero-emission electric buses and trucks and provides battery-electric buses and charging systems to municipalities in several states, including California, Virginia and Washington state. She also owns a large amount of unvested shares of the company's stock options, the value of which is not readily ascertainable, according to the report.
Granholm, who sits on the company's board of directors, wrote in her ethics agreement filed with the disclosure report that she will step down from her position with the company upon her confirmation as energy secretary, and will divest from the vested stock options and forfeit unvested stock options in the company. She also said she'll recuse herself from matters related to Proterra until one year after her resignation from the company's board.
